• Sunday December 8, 2024– Isaiah 9:1-2

We are excited to enter the season of Advent with you beginning this Sunday! The word advent comes from the Latin word adventus meaning arrival. Our Advent series this year is titled “Unto Us” as we take the next four weeks to walk through Isaiah 9 celebrating that unto us Light, Joy, a King, and Salvation has came! This Sunday we have the pleasure of hearing from Steve Hricko as he preaches from Isaiah 9:1-2. We encourage you to consider reading all of Isaiah 9 ahead of time to better follow along. To help us better reflect and celebrate Advent, Pastor Emanuel will once again this year be emailing a short devotional put together by Every Moment Holy. Each devotional comes with a fun Scripture memorization activity and discussion questions. This week’s devotional can be found here.

December 24: Midnight Carols Join us (much later) on Christmas Eve from 11:30pm - midnight to usher in Christmas morning with candlelight and carols! If you're unable to attend, grab a proxy form. Any member who is unable to attend the Annual Meeting in person on January 28th should pick up a proxy form at the Next Steps area in the lobby or stop by the church office during business hours to pick one up. Lastly, sign up here for the chili cook-off (or bring another food item to share)! If you aren't interested in making chili, please write your name down in the Next Steps area to bring a side dish to contribute to the dinner. We will also email about the additional food items and you can let us know what you're bringing there.

  • Sunday February 2– Micah 2:6-11

It is hard to believe, but this Sunday we will already be in the month of February! Thank you to all of you who attended the annual meeting and participated in the chili cook-off this year. Our three judges had a delicious and difficult job Sunday night choosing a winner! Congratulations to Molly Cary on taking home the trophy this year! Thank you to everyone who helped make Sunday night a fun and huge success! We welcome and congratulate our newly appointed elder, Dave Kahre. May God grant him and the rest of the elders wisdom and tenderness as they lead and shepherd this church. Thank you to Page Farmer and Bob Mack for their faithful service to Christ and to Oxford Bible Fellowship these past several years. As the preacher in Hebrews 6:10 writes, "For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do." We are looking forward to being together again this Sunday morning as we worship Christ! We have a full and rich service planned. We will participate in the Lord’s Table, sing songs of worship, and hear God’s Word from Micah 2:6-11. In preparation for Sunday’s message, we encourage you to read the passage. Each week we provide discussion questions to help connect God’s Word to our lives. You can access this week’s discussion questions here.
