This Sunday we have the privilege of hearing from Taylor Scott as he continues our series in the Gospel of John. Taylor will be preaching from John 12:1-11 and as we do in every weekly email, we invite you to read the passage in preparation for Sunday morning! Please be in prayer for Pastor Emanuel as he flies out Sunday night for Romania. He will be preaching at a church planting conference in Bucharest next week to pastors and church planters from Romania and Moldova. As Pastor Emanuel is away, we will not have a formal prayer meeting for the next two weeks. Feel free to still gather at the church to pray, as you feel led!

OBF has the opportunity to host a table at the Uptown Eclipse festival on April 6th. This is a wonderful opportunity provided by the city to meet new people, offer a loving and Christ-centered presence uptown, and to invite the community to come to OBF. In order to take full advantage of this opportunity, we would like 2-5 volunteers to be present at the table during the event. These people will be the first to connect with new folks, share about OBF, and invite them to join us. Please sign-up to help here!
We will be offering our Membership Class on April 7th during our first service, beginning at 9AM. This is a time for those interested in joining our church family to hear our vision and values as a church, meet some of the church leaders, and ask questions. Childcare will be provided as your children can join our OBF Kids classes during that hour. There will also be light breakfast items. Please register here.
This Saturday at 8:00PM Dr. Daniel Block, Professor of Old Testament Emeritus at Wheaton College, will be speaking on “Worship in the Hebrew Scriptures” in the annual Edwin M. Yamauchi lecture series. This will be held in the Shideler Auditorium (Room 152).
Join us this Sunday as we walk through John 15 and examine what it means to abide in Jesus. We encourage you to take time this week to read all of John 15, allowing Scripture to begin having its intended effect. If you are interested in discussion questions, they can be found here.
